Executive Vice President, Head of National and Specialty Businesses
Mike Ritchie joined Comerica Bank in 1991. Since 2022, he has served as Comerica Bank’s Head of National and Specialty Businesses. In July 2023, Ritchie was named to the Management Executive Committee.
The commercial client divisions Ritchie currently oversees include Capital Markets, Captive Insurance, Commercial Real Estate, Energy, Equity Funds Services, Financial Institutions, Financial Services, International, Municipalities, National Dealer Services, Renewables, Technology, US Banking and Waste & Recycling.
Prior to his current role, Ritchie led Comerica’s statewide engagements as Comerica’s Michigan Market President for nine years. In addition, he also managed Michigan’s Middle Market Banking and Business Banking Divisions as well as the Bank’s Environmental Services and Leasing divisions nationally.
During his 31-year career with Comerica, Ritchie has also held a number of previous roles focusing on small and mid-size companies.
Ritchie has an undergraduate degree in Finance and Business Economics from Wayne State University in Detroit, and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Michigan.
He currently serves as a member of the board for Business Leaders for Michigan (Executive Committee), Detroit Public Safey Foundation (former Board Chair), Downtown Detroit Partnership, and Sacred Heart Major Seminary (Chairs Finance Committee). He was formerly a board member of College for Creative Studies, Crime Stoppers of Michigan, Detroit Economic Club, Detroit Regional Chamber, Henry Ford Estate, Michigan Chamber of Commerce, Cornerstone Schools Association, and United Way for Southeastern Michigan.
