Executive Vice President, Executive Director of Corporate Responsibility
Wendy W. Bridges is the Executive Vice President, Executive Director of Corporate Responsibility for Comerica Incorporated. She is a member of Comerica’s Management Executive Committee.
Comerica established the Office of Corporate Responsibility in November 2021 and appointed Bridges to oversee it. As such, Bridges is responsible for Comerica’s sustainability initiatives and guides Comerica’s strategy to delivery on its Corporate Responsibility Platform to 1) provide access to capital focused on underserved communities, women, minorities and small business; 2) collaborate with Comerica’s Chief Diversity Officer to promote a diverse, inclusive and equitable workforce; 3) invest in financial education for underserved communities; 4) address climate change; and 5) collaborate with Comerica’s lines of business to enhance ESG-related product and service solutions. Bridges also manages corporate contributions activities for the bank and serves as the Chairman of the Comerica Charitable Foundation.
Additionally, Bridges is responsible for Corporate Communications, including internal communications to Comerica’s nearly 8,000 colleagues and all media relations activities nationally; the Executive Administration department, which supports the Office of the Chairman; External Affairs; and Corporate Quality.
Prior to joining Comerica in 2008, Bridges served as the Director of Media Relations for Baylor Health Care System, a nationally recognized health care provider operating hospitals, surgery centers and other medical facilities throughout Texas. Her 12 years with Baylor Health Care System included a variety of public relations positions of increasing scope and responsibility.
Bridges earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Texas at Austin with a specialization in public relations.
She is an active member in the North Texas community, serving on the Board of the Nomi and the Board of Governors for Downtown Dallas, Inc. She also volunteers with the Texas Women's Foundation and serves as a sustaining member of the Junior League of Dallas.
