Megan D. Crespi

Senior Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer

Megan D. Crespi was named Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in January 2023. She previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Enterprise Technology & Operations Services Officer for Comerica Bank.

As COO, Megan is responsible for the customer channels across Comerica, from Digital to Contact Center, and Corporate Real Estate/Banking Centers. In addition, Megan leads the Technology, Enterprise Security, Lending and Trade Services divisions, and is building out a new Data and Analytics function for the Bank. Megan also leads Comerica's digital transformation.

In March 2020, Crespi joined Comerica from Ally Financial where she served as Chief Technology Officer since 2018, driving the firm's technology strategy, enterprise architecture and infrastructure operations teams. She started with Ally in 2009, leading technology for Consumer Credit, digital vehicle remarketing platform, and Dealer Online Services. In 2014, she was promoted to Chief Information Officer for the Auto Finance & Insurance businesses.

Crespi began her career in consulting at PwC, later with MicroStrategy, before moving to General Motors in 2000 where she held various roles, ultimately serving as executive technology lead for Global Service & Parts Operations until 2009, when Crespi joined GMAC (now Ally Financial).

Among her community work, Megan supports the American Cancer Society.  This is her second year serving as the Chair for ResearcHERS: Women Fighting Cancer of Michigan campaign, which raises funds in support of support women-led cancer research.  Megan leads in fundraising for the third year in Michigan, and her contribution is among the top 3 nationally.  She serves on the board of Inforum Michigan, whose mission is to accelerate careers for women as a catalyst that removes barriers and increases opportunity.  She is also a member of Michigan Council Women in Technology Foundation (MCWT) that strives to inspire and grow women in technology, empowering girls and women to excel in STEM from the classroom to the boardroom.

Additionally, Crespi is the executive sponsor for Comerica Michigan UNCF walk, and will serve as the enterprise champion for the 2023 United Way campaign. She serves as executive chair for the Comerica Michigan Women’s BRG, and contributes to Comerica’s Financial Education Brigade to deliver financial empowerment training in the community.

In 2021, Crespi was named among Crain's Detroit Business Notable Women in Banking,and has been selected to the 2023 DBusiness Magazine Powered by Women.

Crespi earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan and a Masters degree in Information Systems Management from Carnegie Mellon University.
