Executive Vice President, Chief Experience Officer
James H. Weber, Executive Vice President, is Chief Experience Officer of Comerica Incorporated. He is a member of Comerica's Management Executive Committee.
Since 2007, Weber has been responsible for developing the strategy and execution of all customer-facing marketing and communications for the company, including brand advertising, direct marketing, digital marketing, events and sponsorships, and sports franchise sponsorships. In 2020, his role was from Chief Marketing Officer to Chief Experience Officer as he added responsibility for overseeing a new, dedicated Customer Experience Management (CXM) practice to his portfolio. In this new role, Weber leads the development of robust customer insight and customer journey management programs in support of Comerica’s relationship-focused sales model.
Over the course of his career at Comerica, Weber has helped lead the company’s ongoing shift to a more data-driven and digi-centric business model through the development of new customer data capabilities and strategies as well as the implementation of the Salesforce CRM platform and its marketing counterpart, Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
Prior to joining Comerica, Weber served as Chief Marketing Officer at Fossil, the global watch and accessory lifestyle brand, where he led the successful strategic alignment of the company’s brand identity across multiple countries and categories. This followed a diverse 20-year career in advertising at several prominent agencies, including DDB, Publicis and Temerlin McClain. Weber’s advertising resume includes stints as an award-winning creative director, strategic planning director, account executive and agency principal.
