DETROIT/August 28, 2015 – Live Cycle Delight was crowned the winner of the 2015 Comerica Hatch Detroit Contest presented by Opportunity Detroit during tonight’s Hatch Off event at the M@dison Building in downtown Detroit.

Live Cycle Delight will receive a $50,000 grant courtesy of Comerica Bank and legal (Honigman), public relations (Comerica Bank), architectural renderings (Hamilton-Anderson), video promotion (MCCI) and more support from Hatch Detroit and its partners.

“This year’s diverse entry pool put substantial pressure on our contestants to stand out not only to us but to Detroiters.” said Vittoria Katanski, executive director of Hatch Detroit. “Congratulations to Live Cycle Delight, they have shown such tremendous spirit throughout the competition and without a doubt will thrive in Detroit’s growing business market.”

Live Cycle Delight will be downtown Detroit’s first contemporary cycle studio and provide patrons with an enjoyable environment that makes working out fun.

“Congratulations, Live Cycle Delight. Comerica Bank is proud to support the up and coming entrepreneurs who are making strides in improving the economic environment of Detroit and its neighborhoods,” said Linda Forte, senior vice president and chief diversity officer, Comerica Bank. “The hard work and determination displayed throughout the contest will serve Live Cycle Delight well as they work to open their doors.”

To win the $50,000 prize, Live Cycle Delight had to advance to the semi-finalist round in which this year’s 170 entries were narrowed to the top 10. Public voting narrowed the competition down to four finalists followed by a second round of public voting to help determine the winner. The four finalists gave their final pitch in front of a panel of judges and an audience of their peers during the Hatch Off event. Live Cycle Delight was selected based on the public vote and jury deliberations.

“Opportunity Detroit is proud to congratulate the well-deserving founders and newest Hatch Detroit Contest winner – Live Cycle Delight. Live Cycle Delight is an exciting addition to the powerful and successful Hatch alumni network, which is now made up of more than 12 thriving retail businesses in Detroit,” said RJ Wolney, Director of Business Development at Rock Ventures. “All of the participants are great examples of innovative and collaborative entrepreneurs that will help ensure we are retaining and attracting top talent to Detroit. We are confident all of the new additions to the Hatch community will continue to be leaders in Detroit’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.”
