Comerica Bank Helps Metro Detroiters Protect Against Identity Theft During Shred Day
Comerica, Iron Mountain and WDIV-TV Local 4 Team Up to Provide Free Shredding Services on May 19

DETROIT/May 4, 2011 – Comerica Bank, Iron Mountain and WDIV-TV Local 4 will partner for the fourth consecutive year to host free community Shred Day events in Livonia and Warren on May 19 from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Identity theft is the fastest growing crime in the U.S. with over nine million victims each year, and shredding personal documents is one of the best ways to ensure sensitive information doesn’t make it into the hands of an identity thief, or “dumpster diver.”

Commercial mobile shredders provided by Iron Mountain will be available at two Comerica locations during Shred Day:

• Van Dyke & 13 Mile banking center, 30500 Van Dyke, Warren, Mich. 48093
• Livonia Operations Center, 39200 6 Mile (6 Mile & Haggerty), Livonia, Mich. 48152

Consumers can watch their paper documents be shredded on the spot. All shredded materials will be recycled.  Only paper documents will be allowed. For more information, including a complete list of prohibited items, please visit www.comerica.com/ShredDay, call Comerica at 888-266-3742 or visit www.clickondetroit.com.
