LOS ANGELES, Jan. 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The opening of a new Comerica Bank banking center in Mission Viejo in late December expands the bank's services to Orange County businesses and residents, and adds to the company's 45 other centers in Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego counties.

The latest round of new banking center openings began less than three months ago. Comerica opened five new offices between mid-October and mid-December: Foothill Ranch in Orange County, followed by Point Loma in San Diego in October, then two Los Angeles County banking centers -- in Cerritos and in Torrance -- last month.
"The new office is helping us grow in the West, especially here in Southern California," said David White, Southern California regional president for Comerica Bank. "The new location helps us implement our long-term strategy that focuses on serving the growing numbers of business banking, small business, wealth management, and retail customers in Orange County. We are building on our strengths in relationship banking and adding new access points for our customers for new products and services."
"Comerica Bank now has 13 banking centers in Orange County; four years ago we only had one," said White. "We opened a total of 16 new banking centers in California and Arizona in all of 2007 -- a record pace of growth for Comerica in the West -- and we plan on increasing that pace next year," White said.
The new office at 26131 La Paz Rd. Ste. B1, Mission Viejo, opened Dec. 28. The manager is Nina Altountash. The new banking center is open Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
