Betty Rengifo Tucker Named Executive of Comerica Bank's Retail Division in California and Arizona

LOS ANGELES, June 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Comerica Bank today announced the appointment of veteran Los Angeles-area banking executive Betty Rengifo Tucker to lead the bank's retail and banking center expansion in California and Arizona.

Michael Aust, senior vice president and national director of retail banking, said Tucker is the top Retail Bank executive for the Comerica Bank's Western Market, and is a corporate senior vice president. "Betty joins our team as we are poised to open another eight new banking centers in California - most in Southern California - and up to six new banking centers in Arizona in the third and fourth quarters of 2007," said Aust.

"Betty Tucker's extensive experience in sales management, business strategy and banking center management, combined with her leadership and strong community ties in Los Angeles and Orange counties will help accelerate our growth in the West," said J. Michael Fulton, president and chief executive of Comerica Bank's Western Market.

Tucker, who lives in Chino Hills in San Bernadino County, brings 19 years of Southern California banking experience to Comerica Bank. Most recently, she served as the western region manager for merchant payment solutions for Wells Fargo Bank. She holds an MBA from Pepperdine University, and a bachelor's degree from San Diego State University.

Tucker has been a leader in promoting diversity and opportunities for women and Hispanics among Los Angeles and Orange County businesses. She is a founder and board member of The Professional Network Group, president of the Hispanic Outreach Taskforce, and a board member of the Cornerstone Theatre and the Torch Foundation.

She was the recipient of Pepperdine University's American Spirit Award, and was recognized by the Consolate of Colombia for enabling Colombian- Americans to access the U.S. banking system.

She will be working out of Comerica offices in Costa Mesa and Century City.
