The bank is one of the anchor tenants at the striking new steel-and-glass building that opened earlier this year, adjacent to the landmark Century Plaza Towers and across the street from the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel.

"The opening of this new banking center -- our fifth in Southern California this year -- completes our move to Century Park and enhances our business capabilities at the Century City office, our new Southern California headquarters," said Michael Fulton, President and Chief Executive Officer of Comerica Bank's Western Market.

The Century City Banking Center manager is Lisa Kaplan.

The bank's most recent Southern California expansion began in October 2004, when there were 11 banking centers in Los Angeles, two in San Diego and one in Orange County. Today Comerica Bank has 20 banking centers in Los Angeles County, 11 in Orange County and 5 in San Diego County. In San Diego, the new Pacific Beach Banking Center opened April 13, at 1802 Garnet Ave., San Diego. The manager is Val Paraiso.

In Orange County, the new Brea Banking Center opened March 30, at 2500 East Imperial Hwy, Ste. 190, Brea. The manager is Nan Bicker. The San Diego and Orange County offices feature Saturday banking hours, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

The Century City building also is the administrative center for Southern California regional president David White, the national office for the bank's Entertainment group, and houses offices for Wealth & Institutional Management, Commercial Real Estate, Small Business, Technology & Life Sciences and International Finance.

Comerica Bank's second-floor office suites and first-floor banking center are in the north tower of the twin-tower 12-story structure. With its dramatic profile of stainless steel and sky blue glass walls, the opening of 2000 Avenue of the Stars in January signaled a renaissance for this super block destination known as Century Park, former site of the ABC Entertainment Center and the famous Shubert Theater.

"This new location in the heart of the entertainment industry and the Los Angeles business community is the ideal place to serve our customers and grow our business," said White.
