Comerica Bank has opened its San Felipe-Winrock Banking Center at 6412 San Felipe in Houston. The bank also plans to open its Buffalo Speedway-Highway 59 Banking Center this summer and has said its expansion plans in South Texas will include as many as eight new locations in Harris, Montgomery and Fort Bend counties by the end of 2007

"Comerica Bank has been in the Texas market for almost 20 years, and our headquarters relocation underscores the importance of the Texas market to Comerica's growth," said Gary Orr, Houston market president for Comerica Bank. "Our most rapid growth in Texas is in the Houston market. The San Felipe- Winrock Banking Center that we've opened complements our existing coverage in West Houston. Buffalo Speedway, to open this summer, is strategically located at the intersection with the Southwest Freeway (Highway 59) and will be the first step in Comerica's Inner Loop expansion."

The San Felipe-Winrock Banking Center is Comerica's fourth new office to open in the Houston area this year. Other new banking centers in 2007 include Briar Forest-City West in West Harris County and Spring Cypress-Champions Forest and Woodlands Parkway-Kuykendahl north of downtown Houston. Comerica also plans to open its Greens Road-Northchase (Greenspoint) Banking Center this spring.

Nick Cheer, who has 28 years of banking experience, is the manager of the San Felipe-Winrock office, which is Comerica's 27th banking center in the Houston market.

The new banking centers feature Saturday morning banking hours, an ATM (automated teller machine) and night depositories.

On March 6, Comerica announced plans to relocate its corporate headquarters to Dallas, making it the largest bank holding company headquartered in Texas. The relocation is expected to take place by the end of the third quarter in 2007.
