Eddie Gates Named Manager of Comerica's Western Wayne Region Banking Centers in S.E. Michigan

DETROIT, June 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Comerica Bank announced today that Eddie J. Gates has been named first vice president and manager of Comerica's banking centers in the Western Wayne region. Gates will oversee 18 banking centers in Canton, Dearborn Heights, Farmington Hills, Livonia, Northville, Plymouth, Redford and Westland, Mich., and will report to George Richards, senior vice president and manager of the Southeast Michigan banking centers.

Gates' 33-year career at Comerica has included numerous positions in banking center management. Most recently he served as vice president and district manager for Comerica's 13 banking centers in the Detroit-West region.

Gates is a graduate of Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA. He is a Detroit resident and has served as a mentor in the Farmington Hills Public Schools (East Middle School) for the past four consecutive years. He also has participated in the United Negro College Fund Walk, Heart Walk - Oakland University, Urban Banker Scholarship Program, the Black Family Festival, the Michigan Minority Business Development Council Awards, and Police Athletic League Football.
