DALLAS, Sept. 23, 2022 – Forbes has named Comerica Bank to its 2022 lists of Best Employers by State and Best Employers for Women.

Comerica ranked 18th among potential employers in Michigan, making it the third-highest banking and financial services company in the state.
Comerica has held a strong presence in Michigan, dating back to its Detroit founding in 1849. It remains the largest bank employer in metro Detroit and has approximately 4,500 employees statewide.
Forbes and Statista assembled the rankings after surveying 70,000 Americans working for businesses with at least 500 employees from 25 various industries. Direct recommendations, combined with indirect recommendations from workers in selected states factored into the rankings.
For the second consecutive year, Comerica also earned a spot on Forbes’ Best Employers for Women list, ranking 239th of 400 employers from across the country – 18th among banking and financial services employers.
The survey, compiled by Statista, sampled approximately 50,000 U.S. employees, 30,000 of which were women, working for companies with at least 1,000 people within the U.S. The evaluation focused on four different criteria that included: direct recommendations – work topics in general; direct recommendations – topics relevant for women in particular; indirect recommendations; and diversity among top executives / board.
The Forbes listings are the latest honors recognizing Comerica’s commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment. Recognitions throughout 2022 have also included:
