Dallas Stars, Comerica Bank Announce Naming Rights Agreement for Comerica Center
We are excited to take our longtime partnership with the Dallas Stars Hockey Club to the next level as the naming rights partner for Comerica Center,” James H. Weber, Comerica Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, said.

FRISCO, Texas - The Dallas Stars and Comerica Bank announced today an expanded multi-year partnership that will make the financial services company the naming rights partner for Comerica Center, the Stars’ campus in Frisco, Texas. The Comerica Center complex includes the practice facility of the Stars, the executive offices for the team’s business and hockey operations, and a recently renovated 6,000 seat arena. The new deal includes an extension of the current partnership agreement between the two entities through the 2023-24 NHL season.

“Comerica Bank has supported the Stars for many years and it was an obvious choice to approach them when the opportunity arose to find a new naming rights partner for our Frisco campus,” Dallas Stars CEO Jim Lites said. “We wanted a company that was aligned with the mission and values of the Stars organization, and Comerica Bank checked all of those boxes. The Stars are always looking to provide additional value for our existing corporate partners and searching for new opportunities for increased exposure for our partners in everything that we do.”

"We are excited to take our longtime partnership with the Dallas Stars Hockey Club to the next level as the naming rights partner for Comerica Center.”  James H. Weber, Comerica Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, said.  “This enhanced sponsorship will allow Comerica to expand its presence and significantly increase our exposure within our headquarters market, while continuing to strengthen brand awareness and affinity and raising expectations of what a bank can be with the Stars, NHL fans and in the North Texas communities we serve.”

Located in one of the fastest growing cities in the United States, Comerica Center is at the corner of the Dallas North Tollway and the Sam Rayburn Tollway and easily accessible from anywhere in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex and surrounding North Texas communities.

Comerica Bank will receive extensive brand integration and exposure at Comerica Center along with prominent, highly-visible signage in one of the highest-trafficked regions of the Metroplex. The deal includes multiple branding opportunities along the main entrance to the campus off Gaylord Parkway, and a four-story parking garage. Additionally, the Comerica Bank brand will be featured throughout the interior of the arena, practice facility and executive offices.

This season, Comerica Bank will receive one of the four new corner in-ice logos on the playing surface at American Airlines Center. Since 2014, the Dallas-based company has been a "Proud Banking Partner of the Dallas Stars" and will receive increased integration across all Dallas Stars platforms through signage, print and media as part of the expanded partnership. Comerica Bank will continue to benefit from premium brand exposure via a fixed sign (50 feet x 6 feet) located just below the press box visible for all American Airlines Center games and events. The bank will be showcased in advertisements on Stars broadcasts along with virtual signage, and sponsor the team and player statistic pages on DallasStars.com.

Originally constructed in 2003, Comerica Center was built in partnership with the Dallas Stars, City of Frisco and Frisco ISD. The arena portion of the complex, formerly Dr Pepper Arena, is a multi-purpose sports and entertainment venue that is home of the Texas Legends (NBA G League affiliate of the Dallas Mavericks) and hosts concerts, family shows, corporate conferences and other sporting events. Over the last year, the facility has hosted Cirque De Soleil, the Harlem Globetrotters, the Men’s and Women’s Lone Star Conference Basketball Championship, Frisco ISD graduations and numerous other events and conferences. The venue seats up to 6,000 people and features amenities such as a state-of-the-art sound system, multiple HD video screens, 12 suites and a private lounge area.

In the summer of 2018, the arena underwent major renovations as it strives to remain at the forefront of the entertainment industry while also ushering in a new era as Comerica Center. With the help of the arena’s new concessionaire, Ryan Sanders Sports (RS3), the renovations feature state-of-the-art food and beverage services specifically tailored to highlight the unique atmospheres of each event. RS3 now offers a wide selection of beers, wine and spirits at different bars located throughout the arena. RS3 currently operates the food and beverage operations at five other facilities in Texas, including the 360 Amphitheater and Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Dell Diamond and United Heritage Center in Round Rock and the H-E-B Center in Cedar Park.
