Comerica Bank Moves Into Embarcadero Center

SAN JOSE/June 9, 2005 -- Comerica Bank announces the opening of a new full-service branch location in the heart of San Francisco’s financial district. The new branch location, at One Embarcadero Center, is the first of two new retail sites in the city for Comerica Bank in 2005.

The Embarcadero branch is located in a prime street-level corner location formerly occupied by the Pottery Barn. A second street-level branch is to open in the Union Street retail business district this summer.

To simplify access to an array of banking services, Comerica Bank also has combined its San Francisco offices for five business units into a single full-floor location at Two Embarcadero Center, third floor: Financial Services, International Trade Services, Middle Market, Technology & Life Sciences, and Wealth & Institutional Management. Previously, these bank services had been provided from offices on Battery Street, Spear Street and Market Street.

The Embarcadero and Union Street branches represent Comerica Bank’s first street-level branches in San Francisco, and continue the bank’s branch expansion strategy begun in 2004. The Embarcadero branch is the third new Comerica location to open in California in 2005, following10 new branch sites in the state in 2004. By the end of 2005, Comerica Bank expects to have increased the number of California branches by 50 percent over a two-year period.
