Comerica Recognized for its Green Disclosures and Performance

Comerica has been recognized for its green reporting and performance. Comerica is the highest scoring S&P 500 company in the 2009 Carbon Disclosure Project Leadership Index, according to a report produced by PricewaterhouseCoopers and released on September 21, 2009. The Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index rates firms according to the level and quality of their disclosure and reporting on greenhouse gas emissions and climate change strategy data. Comerica's Index score of 91 is #1 in the Financials sector and #1 overall among S&P 500 companies.
The Carbon Disclosure Project, founded in 2000, represents some 475 global institutional investors, with more than US $55 trillion in assets under management. As an independent not-for-profit organization, CDP collects key climate change data from some 2,500 major corporations around the globe and has assembled the largest corporate greenhouse gas emissions database in the world. CDP also works with multinational organizations to facilitate the collection of climate change relevant data for their supply chains. www.cdproject.net.

DiversityInc Ranks Comerica #30 on its 2009 Top 50 Companies for Diversity List DiversityInc has ranked Comerica No. 30 on its 2009 Top 50 Companies for Diversity list. In addition, Comerica has been cited by DiversityInc for its commitment to supplier diversity, ranking No. 5 -- up from No. 6 in 2008 -- on its list of the Top 10 Companies for Supplier Diversity. A total of 401 companies, up 14 percent from 2008, submitted answers to a detailed survey to be considered for a spot on this list. Placement on the list was determined by a statistical analysis of survey responses. |
Comerica Ranks Highly in O'Connor & Associates First Half 2009 Industry Benchmark Report on Incoming Sales Call Centers In the O'Connor & Associates First Half 2009 Industry Benchmark banking report, which monitors the incoming sales call centers of ten national and regional banks in the U.S., Comerica Bank placed first in the survey for the third consecutive year with an aggregate score of 80.60 percent.
Comerica topped the scoring in four of the seven attributes while posting scores in the "Top Five Banks" category for the remaining three attributes. Comerica agents posted an increase of 11.88 percent in Customer Reception and a 5.85 percent gain in Cross Selling Capability leading all banks by offering additional products to nearly 36 percent of the prospects that contacted the center.

Computerworld Magazine Names Comerica Bank Among 'Best Places to Work in IT' for 15th Consecutive Year Computerworld, the "Voice of IT Management," has selected Comerica Bank as one of the top workplaces for information technology (IT) professionals for the 15th consecutive year. This honor is part of the weekly IT publication's 16th annual Best Places to Work in IT survey, which was published in the June 15, 2009 issue of Computerworld and online at Computerworld.com.
"Delivering excellent IT services to our customers and colleagues depends largely on our ability to attract and retain the best IT professionals in the industry," said John Beran, Chief Information Officer, Comerica Bank. Computerworld's annual Best Places to Work in IT feature ranks the top 100 work environments for IT professionals, based on a comprehensive questionnaire regarding company offerings in categories such as benefits, diversity, career development, training and retention. This year, Computerworld surveyed more than 27,000 IT professionals for the list, and their responses factored heavily in determining the rankings. |
Greenwich Associates Awards - 2008 Every year, Greenwich Associates, a leading strategic consulting and research source for providers of financial services worldwide, surveys decision-makers at nearly 17,000 businesses with sales between $10-500 million through its Middle Market Banking Study. Businesses are asked to assess their financial institutions across a variety of categories to benchmark the quality of products and services available in the marketplace. Of over 750 banks evaluated in the 2008 study, 29 banks were cited for distinctive quality among their banking peers. Comerica was recognized for National: Overall Satisfaction, and National: Treasury Management. |

Comerica Bank Named Largest Issuer of Pre-Paid Commercial Cards Comerica Bank was named the largest issuer of pre-paid commercial cards by The Nilson Report, a leading payment systems publication. In addition to its #1 ranking in pre-paid commercial cards, Comerica ranked #11 overall among the nation's 2006 top commercial card issuers, up from #14 a year ago. Comerica also was ranked by the publication as the: -- 3rd largest issuer of fleet cards; -- 9th largest issuer of corporate cards; and -- 17th largest issuer of purchasing cards. |

Michigan Center for Empowerment and Economic Development's 2007 Corporation of the Year Comerica has been selected as the 2007 Corporation of the Year by the Michigan Center for Empowerment and Economic Development (CEED). This award is given to corporations that show outstanding support and dedication to women- and minority-owned businesses.
CEED's goals are to empower women and minorities by providing business and community education, training, resources and capital for new and expanding businesses. CEED also serves an important role by linking together organizations and institutions that invest in Michigan communities through business development, job creation, access to credit and removal of barriers.
In announcing the award, Michelle Richards, executive director of CEED, emphasized Comerica's commitment to CEED's women's initiatives, especially the Michigan Women's Marketplace, the state's only online resource for women in business; and the Michigan Women's Business Council. |
Comerica Bank Among DiversityInc.'s Top 50 Companies for Diversity in 2007 Comerica Bank has earned a coveted spot on The 2007 DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity® list. The announcement was made by Luke Visconti, partner and cofounder of DiversityInc, a monthly business magazine and daily Web site. Comerica ranked 37th overall and number three in commitment to supplier diversity.
"Comerica is much different from the average corporation; it is a true champion of diversity," Visconti said. "A total of 317 companies competed for a spot, a 100 percent increase in corporate participation in the Top 50 competition over the last three years."
Now in its seventh year, The DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity list is the largest competition of its kind. The list is determined solely from a comprehensive survey of diversity management that measures CEO commitment, human capital, corporate communications and supplier diversity.
"Supporting and fostering corporate diversity is critical to Comerica's day-to-day success," said Linda Forte, Comerica Bank senior vice president of Business Affairs and the bank's chief diversity officer.

Comerica Receives Top Grades in Middle Market Cash Management Survey Comerica Bank received top grades in a survey of middle market cash management services. The biennial survey of senior financial executives of public and private U.S. corporations with annual sales between $40 million and $100 million was conducted by Phoenix-Hecht, one of the nation's foremost providers of market research and education for the financial services industry.
Comerica earned 16 A+ grades and six A grades in the Phoenix-Hecht 2007 Middle Market Monitor Quality Index, including 10 A+ grades and two A grades in the product categories, with strongest scores in wire transfer, balance reporting, ACH and depository services. In the category of perceptions, Comerica Bank earned two A+ scores and two A scores. In the category of cash management relationship manager, Comerica earned 4 A+ scores and two A scores. By comparison, Comerica's competitors scored fewer A+ scores overall. |
Comerica Receives MasterCard Performance Excellence Award Comerica has received the 2007 MasterCard Performance Excellence Award for the bank's success in the commercial card - public sector. Best Places to Work in IT Comerica is ranked 33rd on the 2007 Computerworld Magazine list of the "Best Places to Work in IT." This is up from #63 last year in the magazine's annual survey of top information technology employers. Comerica has appeared in the top 100 for several years. Among the companies that made the list, Comerica was no. 5 on the list of "Best places for Benefits" and no. 1 on the list of "Best places for Career Development." |
Comerica Wins 'Best Real Estate Deal of the Year - 2007' Comerica's lease of 197,000 square feet of office space for its new corporate headquarters building in downtown Dallas, Texas, has been named the Best Real Estate Deal of the Year by the Dallas Business Journal. The publication noted that the deal "brings 200 high-paying jobs and corporate headquarters prestige to Dallas' central business district."
Comerica also won the publication's Best Headquarters or Campus Move award. |
