Comerica Honored for 'Staunch Commitment to Supplier Diversity'

In recognition of those companies that help drive that growth through their unwavering commitment to supplier diversity, MBN USA magazine recently named Comerica to its annual Corporate 101 list, which represents the “Most Admired Companies” in supplier diversity.

“Small, diversified businesses play a vital role in creating jobs and driving economic growth,” says Jarilyn Fox, president and publisher of MBN magazines. “In today’s changing market, having a diverse and inclusive supply chain is a social and economic imperative, and the companies on our Corporate 101 list recognize that. We honor them for their steadfast commitment to global supplier diversity.”

In choosing the 101 honorees, the selection committee considered such factors as innovative supplier development initiatives, participation with regional minority supplier development councils and reported spend with diverse suppliers. The end result is a listing of companies that embody the essence of next-level growth in supplier diversity.

The Corporate 101 list will be published in the 2015 MBN USA Volume III edition, and will officially premiere at the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce National Convention, held Sept. 20-22, 2015, in Houston, Texas.

“The Corporate 101s understand the value of minority business enterprises – that is: Given the opportunity, MBEs bring as much innovation, creativity and flexibility as their larger competitors,” said Don McKneely, chairman and CEO, MBN magazines. “The impact our Corporate 101 are making on supplier diversity is paving the way for diverse suppliers to realize an increase in purchasing opportunities, which will, in turn, produce more inclusive supply chains. We congratulate the supplier diversity teams at these companies on this well-deserved honor.
